Booking Information

A primary goal of the 941 Theater is to bring unrepresented film to Philadelphia, so you are strongly encouraged to contact us about your film. We have a few different ways we program films, from weekend runs to Sunday double features. If we cannot program your film per se, we may still be available for rent. We are also open to hosting cast & crew screenings, fundraisers, dailies screenings, press screenings, focus groups, premiere parties and just about anything else you can think of! Live Theater

The 941 is a modular space that can host all manner of events from birthday parties to lecture tours. Email booking@941theater.com for rental inquires, the basic rates are below. If you are in the process of booking an event please download our event booking checklist.

Rental Checklist

These are the required steps for every rental.

1. $100 non-refundable deposit to book a date (this will go towards your rental).

2. Sign our contract and fill out our cc form for damage / cleaning deposit.

3. Consult with the theater managers regarding your event’s security / staffing needs.

4. Pay a minimum of 50% of the rental price before the event starts. The remainder will be paid immediately after the event.

5. Walk through the space after the event with a theater manager and sign out noting that there has been no damage.

Capacity

The capacity for seated events is 125. We currently have 100 chairs. If you are expecting a full house, you can choose to rent extra chairs from a local vendor. See below for recommendations.

The capacity for standing events in the main room is 225. This does not include the lobby, green room or back deck.

House Equipment

A full list of sound and projection equipment, as well as a stage plot, is available to interested renters upon request. Email booking@941theater.com.

The 941 Theater is available for events the following times:

Sun-Thurs 12pm-12am
Fri-Sat 12pm-2am

Liquor Policy

All music events at The 941 Theater fall under one of three liquor / age formats:

- All Ages – No Alcohol
- 18+ -- Alcohol may be served for free (not sold) from behind a counter by Theater / event staff to people who have been properly carded. Tips may be accepted.
- 21+ -- Alcohol may be given out and/or the event can be promoted as BYOB.

Most film screenings are BYOB.

Liquor and age policies for all other events are per specific conversation.

Alcohol sponsors are welcome.
